Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Woonsel ("Woonsel," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit woonsel.com (the "Site") or contact us. It is written for visitors in the United States.
1. Who we are
Woonsel is a studio that designs visual instruction systems for complex operational processes. Woonsel is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us athello@woonsel.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit a form, book a call or email us, we collect what you provide: your name, work email, company, role, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. If you decline, analytics does not run.
Server and security data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser information and request logs to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks and abuse.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, financial account data, health data or precise geolocation.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule calls.
- To prepare proposals and provide services you request.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it (only with your consent to analytics).
- To keep the Site secure and prevent misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting and security (Cloudflare), email and Google Analytics. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganization of our business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use one strictly necessary storage item to remember your cookie choice, and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a choice to decline analytics. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
6. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and correspondence data for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we enter into a business relationship or the law requires longer retention. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
7. International processing
Our team and service providers may process information outside the United States. Where we do, we take reasonable steps to protect it in line with this policy.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on the state where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and access a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do neither.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email hello@woonsel.com with the subject "Privacy request." We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity by matching information you provide with what we hold. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within 45 days.
9. Notice for California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from you directly and from your device:
- Identifiers and professional information: name, email, phone, company, role. Used to respond to inquiries and provide services. Disclosed to our email provider and Cloudflare.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and request logs. Used to deliver and secure the Site. Disclosed to Cloudflare.
- Internet or network activity: Site usage data, only with consent. Used for analytics. Disclosed to Google Analytics.
- General geolocation: approximate location from IP address, only with consent. Used for analytics.
We do not collect or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
10. Children
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. For material changes, we will post a notice on the Site.
